Insurance icon Progressive has never been a stranger to innovation, and proved that once again with the development of Snapshot, a technological breakthrough that rewarded drivers for good driving habits. For such a unique offering to work, however, Progressive needed large-scale buy-in from agents—no easy task. So before we took the idea to the masses, we created a campaign customized and incentivized to get agents to interact with the product. Contests, sweepstakes, material kits, digital ads and a partnership with Dreamworks’ Despicable Me not only educated, but fired-up agents, who quickly fell in love with Snapshot. Within two months we had reached our test-drive goal for the entire year: 10,000 agents.
